WebCT (website) is an online/web system used in teaching selected courses at UCSF. The following media files demonstrate how to use various tools within WebCT. These files use text and animation only, there is no audio or narration included. Please also allow for a short downloading period before the animations begin playing. If you have questions on these materials or need other assistance, please contact the following:
Choose one of the filenames below to view or download the video clip. Alternative formats are made available for best use with your particular computer configuration. Player software, if needed, can be obtained from the links at the bottom of this page. (Note: these video clips can be large files, there may be a significant delay before playback begins.)
Note: these movie clips do not have audible soundtracks.
More Information: Laptop internet access at UCSF is administered by the Library.
Information is often published on the web in "Portable Document Format" -- i.e., as ".pdf" documents. Your computer likely already has the ability to read .pdf documents using a version of the Adobe/Acrobat .PDF reader software. We have found that only version 7 and higher of this software operates reliably on WindowsXP systems.
To install or upgrade your copy of this important software, visit the Adobe web site at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html or click on the "Get Reader" logo shown above. (The toolbar or album add-ons are not required.)
If you have problems, especially if you are using version 6 or lower, please see our Adobe Problems page at http://nurseweb.ucsf.edu/www/adobe-problems.htm (website).
